          Company introduction

          The Kite Research Institute (KITE) is the research arm of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute (TRI), which is one of the hospitals within the University Health Network (UHN) hospital systems. UHN is Canada’s largest academic research hospital, and UHN placed fourth on Newsweek magazine’s 2020 rankings of the world’s best hospitals. KITE is an acronym for Knowledge, Innovation, Talent, Everywhere. Our scientists are dedicated to improving the lives of people living with the effects of disability, illness and ageing. Our areas of focus include prevention, restoration, enhanced participation and independent living. We are actively engaged in developing new treatments, devices and products as well as gathering evidence that guides changes to policy and public opinion. At KITE, our mission is to be a trailblazer in research, education, knowledge translation and clinical application.
